Today, I want to talk about something I did that’s a bit different – growing evening scented stocks flowers. I’ve always liked the smell of these flowers, so I thought, why not give it a try?

First, I got some seeds online. It wasn’t too hard, just a few clicks, and they were on their way. When the seeds arrived, I soaked them in water for a few hours. I heard this helps them sprout faster, so I gave it a shot.

Preparing the Soil

Next, I needed to get the soil ready. I dug up a little patch in my garden. I added some compost that I had lying around to make the soil richer. Then I raked it all smooth.

Planting the Seeds

After the soil was ready, I started planting. I made little holes in the ground, not too deep. I dropped a few seeds into each hole, then covered them up with soil. I watered them gently, making sure not to flood them.

Waiting and Watching

Then came the waiting. It was a bit nerve-wracking, not knowing if they’d grow. I checked on them every day, watering them when the soil felt dry. After a while, I saw tiny green shoots popping up!

Caring for the Plants

  • I kept watering them regularly.
  • I pulled out any weeds that popped up around them.
  • Sometimes I added a little bit of fertilizer to help them grow stronger.

Finally, Flowers!

Finally, after weeks, I saw flower buds. And then, one evening, they bloomed! The smell was amazing, just like I remembered. It was so satisfying to see these flowers grow from tiny seeds.

Growing these evening scented stocks was a fun little project. It took some time and effort, but it was totally worth it. Now, every evening, I can enjoy the sweet smell of these flowers in my garden. It’s a small thing, but it makes me happy.
