Well, let me tell ya about this Explorer Red Rose. Folks seem to make a big fuss over it, always goin’ on about its deep red color. Now, I ain’t no fancy flower expert, but even I gotta admit, it’s a purdy red, like a good, ripe tomato. They say it’s a “velvet crimson,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but to me, it’s just a nice, strong red.
They also say this rose is “luxurious” and “sophisticated.” Huh! Makes me chuckle. It’s a flower, ain’t it? Grows in the dirt just like all the others. But I guess some folks like to dress things up with fancy words.
Now, about this rose bein’ so popular for lovers and anniversaries and such… well, I guess it makes sense. Red is the color of love, they say. Personally, I always thought love was more about actions than fancy flowers, but hey, what do I know? If a fella wants to show his gal he cares, he can give her this Explorer rose, I suppose. It sure is a looker.

They been growin’ this Explorer rose since 2011, they say. Not that long, really, when ya think about it. Roses been around forever, ain’t they? But I guess this one is special. Folks seem to like its shape, “quintessential” they call it. Big ol’ blooms, too. Kinda showy, if you ask me.
This Captain Samuel Holland fella, they say he introduced it back in 1990. Or was it 2011? I get confused with all them dates. Anyway, it don’t really matter who started it, does it? It’s here now, and folks seem to love it.
And they talk about it bein’ “export quality.” Means they ship it all over the place, I reckon. Guess folks everywhere like a good red rose. Makes sense, I suppose. Flowers are purdy, no matter where you are.
For Valentine’s Day, they say this Explorer rose is extra special. Symbol of love and appreciation, they claim. Well, maybe it is. If it makes someone happy, then I guess it’s done its job. But I still say actions speak louder than flowers.
So, there ya have it. My two cents on this Explorer Red Rose. Purdy color, big blooms, and folks seem to like it for special occasions. Not my cup of tea, really, but to each their own, I always say. If you like fancy roses, this one’s probably right up your alley.
