Okay, here’s my story about my orchids:
So, I’ve got these orchids, right? I’m no green thumb, but I try. A few weeks back, they were looking great, all these pretty flowers blooming. I was feeling pretty proud of myself, you know?

Then, I don’t know what happened. The flowers started to droop. They just looked sad, like they’d given up. One by one, they started falling off. I was like, “What the heck is going on?”
I started to investigate, playing detective with my plants. My first thought was, “Am I watering them too much?” Because I tend to overdo it sometimes. I stuck my finger in the soil, and it felt kinda damp. I also checked the roots by lifting up the pot a little bit. Some of them were a little yellow, but a lot of them looked pretty good. But the pot did feel kinda heavy, so maybe I was giving them a bit too much water.
- First, I checked the soil.
- Then I looked at the roots.
- I also moved them around to see if they were getting enough light. I thought maybe they needed more sun, or maybe they were getting too much. It’s hard to tell, you know?
Things I Did
Honestly, I still wasn’t sure what was wrong. I read some stuff online, and it said that sometimes flowers just fall off because the plant is done blooming. It’s like they need a little nap before they can bloom again. That made sense, but I was still bummed.
So, I decided to just chill out on the watering. I figured I’d give them a little break and see what happens. I also made sure they were in a spot where they got some good light, but not like, directly in the sun all day. It’s a balancing act, for sure.
It’s been a few days now, and no more flowers have fallen off. I’m still not sure if I cracked the code, but I’m hoping for the best. I guess we’ll see if they bloom again in a few weeks. Fingers crossed!
