Should I Cut Back Peonies with Powdery Mildew to Prevent Spread?

你说这peony嘞,它长得真好看,可是有时候也会染上那啥,powdery mildew,白乎乎的,像是沾了面粉一样。要是你家那peonies上也有这个,我跟你说,最好是在秋天把那些生病的叶子全都剪了。这可不是说随便剪一点,得连根都剪了,别留啥病叶子,那样明年还会犯病。

那啥,剪了有啥好处呢?剪了以后嘞,土里不会有那病菌了,明年开春它就长得好好的。你要是不剪嘞,等到叶子自己掉地上了,那些白粉病就会留在土里,等着来年再折腾你家的花儿呢。

不过你得注意,不是所有的peonies都要剪到根的。比如那些大树peonies,你可别全剪了,那树,它不比那些小peonies,剪了就不活了。所以,得看是什么peony,别乱剪。

为啥会长这个powdery mildew呢?你想嘞,这病,多是在那夏天,天气又闷又热,还老下雨的时候出来的。特别是六七月嘞,你家的peony要是正赶上这种天气,病就容易来了。像这种病嘞,它其实不太伤花,不过看着难受,人都不爱看。不过要是病得厉害了,那peony它自己也扛不住,会慢慢虚弱的。

有的人说,这个powdery mildew它自己好不了,得赶紧处理。我呢,觉得要是你家那peonies花期过了,干脆就把病的叶子全剪了。你想,那花都谢了,叶子留着也没啥用,剪了还省得病扩散呢。

那到底要不要剪呢?其实嘞,这病要是轻一点的,没啥大碍,顶多看着不美观。但要是你觉得病得有点严重了,那就别犹豫了,赶紧把那些病叶子剪了,能防着它扩散呢。要是每年都犯病,那可就得上点心了,提前处理,别等到病重了再想办法。

  • 第一,要在秋天剪,别等到春天。
  • 第二,剪完以后,地上的那些碎叶子也得收拾干净,别留啥病菌。
  • 第三,千万别上肥多了,肥料上多了,那新长出来的叶子脆弱,反而容易生病。

总结嘞:有了这个powdery mildew呢,别慌,赶紧把生病的叶子剪掉。特别是花开完了以后,就直接处理掉。还有,树peony别全剪了,小心别把花给剪没了。明年,再注意点,少上肥,病菌也没那么容易再犯了。
